It can also be tempting to think that there is no point in making your bed since you’ll be using it again at night. But the truth is that there is much fulfillment to be found in taking the time to quickly and easily make a bed. It can also give you a sense of peace and order, thus starting off your day on the right foot. With this in mind, here are a few tips to quickly and easily make your bed:

  1. Use a bed ruffle. The bed ruffle is positioned over the box spring. The bed ruffle is also known as the balance. It is very helpful for keeping dust from accumulating underneath your bed. It also serves as a nice decorative touch. The bed ruffle is positioned over the box spring and it is supposed to cover the frame of the bed as well. While there is no need to wash the bed ruffle as frequently as the sheets, it needs to be washed on a regular basis nonetheless.
  2. Ensure that the fitted bottom sheet is secure. Do this by tucking it underneath the mattress. Next, lay the top sheet over the fitted sheet. Allow any excess parts of the sheet to overlap over the side of the bed. Tuck what is left of the top sheet underneath the mattress and the top spring.
  3. Drape the bedspread over the bed. The blanket should be underneath the bedspread. There is no need to tuck in the bedspread. Proceed to lay the pillows on the bed. Fluff them first.
  4. Lastly, spread the comforter on top of the bed. Spread it very neatly and remove any creases or wrinkles that you see. Lay decorative pillows on top of the comforter. Voila! You are all done. Wasn’t that easy? Now you can look forward to a good night’s sleep.
