Removing Candle Wax from Clothing, Carpets, and Other Fabrics
Getting candle wax on your clothes or other fabrics like carpets and table covers can really bum out your day. Candles are supposed to relax and sooth, not cause stress and discomfort. Lucky for you that wax stain is not permanent. Follow these steps on how to remove wax stains from clothing, carpets, and most other fabrics:
- Pull out the iron and set it on low heat.
- Take 2 to 3 paper towels and place them over the wax stain. If the stain is small you can just fold one piece of the paper towel in half.
- Just like you would with any other clothes or fabric, begin ironing the paper towel.
- You should notice the wax beginning to absorb into the paper towel. Remove and replace the paper towel if necessary until all the wax is taken out.
Safety is the most important part when removing wax stains from clothing, carpets, and other fabrics. Make sure the task is performed or supervised by an adult with the iron always staying on a low heat setting.
