Crayon Mark Removal
Sometimes kids find the most startling activities to dig their hands into. Coloring on your walls and/or wallpaper is one of the most common and annoying ones. If you catch them before the wall can only be saved with a new paint job, the task of removing crayon marks is not all too difficult.
The first thing to do for crayon mark removal is spray the victimized wall with some WD-40®. Wipe down with a clean rag or some paper towel. If the WD-40® has itself left a light stain, simply wipe with a sponge soaked in soapy water and dry. If this does not completely remove the crayon mark then you can try rubbing the mark with a damp sponge with a little baking soda sprinkled on top.
Another approach to crayon mark removal requires the use of a hair blow dryer. Crayons are made of wax so the heat will cause the mark to liquefy, which can then be wiped away. The color that remains should easily come off with a damp sponge. If the wall is white, bleach will also remove the color. So next time walls become a coloring book, use this crayon mark removal tips to get your walls back to their previous state.
